Sad News

Now for a post of a much more serious nature:

I'm sad. Why?

Many of you probably know that certain members of the Hardy family and friends have been looking forward to a certain grand event that's been coming up ever quicker and quicker, and was to take place on the 30th of this month: namely, the U2 concert.

Well, we were informed today that the last ten gigs on their Vertigo Tour are off. You read that right. Our concert's off:-( Or postponed at the very least (and I'm hoping badly that's all!). Really, I'm glad that they care enough about their families to cancel shows when one of them gets seriously ill, and I'm even feeling kind enough to hope that the person (whichever family member of which ever band member it is - they haven't said) is ok (am I not so gracious?:-P) but it doesn't stop some slight dissapointment.

However, we're baring it bravely:-P

But I do kinda hope they come back soon.

That is so awful!!!! I know how much y'all were looking forward to it, that is just so sad. *cries tears for Elizabeth* I hope they come back again soon, as well, dear. *hugs*

Ohhh, I'm so sorry! I heard that on the news in passing yesterday and I think I literally gasped outloud and thought, "Poor Fran and Elizabeth!!" I hope badly for your sake that it is just postponed, too...

Wahhhhhhhhhhh......... That's simply horrible. I read about their cancellation on Google. They did seem to indicate that it was just a temporary hold and that they'd go down under soon. I even got this icon just for this sad occasion.

Well, what we read was, "Fans hold onto your tickets until further notice" which I guess could be taken a number of ways depending on which way you look at it:-) Hopefully they're meaning, "Hold onto tickets till we tell you the new date" ;-)

Oh you poor people. I heard about that and was going to comment or email to inform you just because I could (knowing that know doubt you had already heard of it)
I really feel for all the people having purchased tickets. Our friends (jchic s parents) were coming to Brisbane for it also :( :(

They seam to have made a wise choice though...looking out for each other...as you said.

Something random:

I was listening to an interview with Bono and he has a house in France (sorry i'm very vague I can't really remember too many details) and the interviewer was asking why he picked France to live.
And Bono named a few other countries and why he wouldn't live there, "blaming" it mainly on the type of people then he said something like this:
"...but the french, they're so into themselves that they don't even notice you..."
Very good answer ;) :D

Oh, you're cruel! I didn't know I'd done a spelling error, and now I'm all embarassed:-( I guess no one else on my friends list is a) as observant or b) as educated as you so I'm really quite safe. I'm thinking of leaving it as it is just for you! Or maybe for my icon, seeing Larry is looking rather bare? I don't really like it, but it's the best I have. :-P

Oh, I thought of you yesterday when I saw the front page of the newspaper when we were shopping, and the big "U2 concerts postponed" headlines... :( Poor you, you were looking forward to it so much - I hope it all gets sorted out!

Thanks for your sympathy. I'm trying to handle it as best I can... only on one dose of medication for depression so far so I'm going ok.
